IV CERTIFICATION
The IV therapy course is a 30-hour weekend course that is designed to be a refresher for LPN’s and RN’s and other previously trained professionals that wish to become certified in IV therapy. 24 hours of this course is online and 6 hours is classroom skills.
Students will learn to insert, remove and troubleshoot intravenous lines. Students will become familiar with the laws guiding the insertion of IV’s as well as the fluids that are ordered by physicians needed to infuse.
ENROLLMENT CRITERIA
To qualify for this workshop you must be ONE of the following :
• RN or LPN
• Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practioner
• Pharmacist
• Dentist
• Nursing or Medical Student
• Pharmacist
